It’s been another lovely week by the beach here in Bournemouth.  Our students have made the most of the good weather and have been out on location, both urban and rural settings, shooting portraits and getting familiar with using reflectors, diffusers and off camera flash.

The week we’re also pleased to announce that we now have two more of our courses approved for resettlement by ELCAS.

5 day digital manipulation course (City & Guilds level 3 award in working with digital images)

In this course you will cover a variety of editing software, professional workflow and a variety of techniques to improve and manipulate images, including using Adobe Photoshop to create a variety of composite images, Photomatix to create HDR photos, plus Blurb Booksmart & ProShow Professional to create interesting products for clients and more besides! This week is full of useful guidance towards improving your post-production skills.

15 day advanced wedding, portrait and digital manipulation course (City & Guild level 3 award in photo image capture and level 3 award in working with digital images)

This course is a combination of our 10 Day Advanced Portrait and Wedding Course that covers all aspects of portrait photography, both in the studio and out on location as well as weddings, plus our 5 Day Digital Manipulation Course.  The course is very practical and you will be working with 20 different models including children, families, couples, makeovers and weddings, you will also learn how to setup and use studio lighting, as well as posing and directing the models.  We will also look at different types of wedding albums and frames, including printing direct onto aluminium, acrylic, slate and canvases.

Check out our website (www.firstpointphotography.co.uk) for further details on all our approved courses! Also, why not visit our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/firstpointphotography) to see what students have been doing on our courses recently!
